Fjallraven Abisko Endurance 2 Tent

A classic tunnel tent design with an extended vestibule and generous dimensions to make the Abisko Endurance more user friendly in poor conditions. This two person, 4 season tent provides loads of usable space with serious weather protection.

Spacious and stable four-season tunnel tent with full height in the inner tent and the extra large vestibule. This makes for comfortable tent life and makes it easier to spend long rainy days inside. Perfect for those who want a low-weight yet still strong and reliable tent, for four-season use in all conditions but the most extreme. The vestibule has plenty of room for storing gear and cooking. The entrance is on the side making it easy to use the space well. There is a clothesline in the vestibule and the inner tent, that also has practical net pockets for small items. The inner tent and flysheet are raised together. Pole sleeves are colour coded and big enough to accommodate double tent poles (an accessory) in exposed conditions. Large, well-placed vents give excellent airflow. All openings are covered in a fine mesh that keeps out even the smallest, barely visible insects.

In warm conditions the door can be fastened in a half-open position – the zipper has an auto-lock function so the wind can’t force it to “creep” – for extra air circulation without rain getting to the inner tent. Attachment points for Gear Loft (an accessory) in the inner tent. The flysheet is made from Fjällräven’s new high-performance TripleRip nylon and an innovative construction that combines two different fabric weights – 20 denier in the top part and 40 denier at the bottom where abrasion is most intensive – giving excellent strength despite low weight. Just like all of Fjällräven’s tents, Abisko Endurance 2 is made entirely without PVC plastic and toxic flame retardants, and its impregnation is fluorocarbon free.

Fjällräven's Abisko Endurance 2 Tent is a tough two person, four season tent capable of standing up to challenging conditions that go with four season camping. This version in the Abisko range has more generous dimensions providing more internal space, a greater head height and an extended vestibule to make it more practical. The details in the design, materials used and quality of construction result in a fantastic tent. The Endurance is a traditional tunnel design with three poles over the inner tent and extended vestibule so it is easy to put up and with the inner already attached this can be done fairly quickly. You need a significant space for this tents footprint because it really is a massive two person tent.

The quality of the fly, floor, inner and every other part of the tent is obvious and there are so many nice design features that make it more practical or more durable and are not just gimmicks. The tent uses top quality DAC poles that balance weight and strength really well. The fabrics used also balance weight and durability with tougher 40D fabric on the floor and lower parts of the fly sheet and 20D fly and mesh. The tunnel tent design is a classic and it stands up to challenging weather really well. There dimensions add additional internal space in the inner and vestibule along with the extended vestibule so you have even more practical space to store kit, cook in and use as a seating area when the weather is poor for prolonged periods.
