Big Agnes says:
The features you know from our award-winning line of Tiger Wall UL tents have been enhanced and equipped with functions you need for two-wheeled travel, now using solution-dyed fabric that is highly resistant to UV fade and drastically reduces energy consumption and water use during manufacturing, a process that is better for the environment and improves the quality of the tent fabric. The Tiger Wall UL2 and UL3 Bikepack tents are our lightest two-door, two-vestibule bikepacking tents and an exciting addition to our award-winning ultralight bikepacking tent series, built for on and off road adventures.
Featuring a shortened 12"" Shortstik Poleset for optimal handlebar, pannier, and saddlebag storage, complete with a burly bikepacking-ready compression sack that attaches readily to your bike with integrated daisy chain webbing. Stash your helmet in the added webbing located on the tent body exterior and dry out wet clothes and gear on daisy chain webbing loops integrated on the fly exterior. Interior storage solutions utilize dead space above your feet and keep gear stowed and out of the way. Extended footprint creates a vestibule floor for dry, dirt-free changing and additional gear storage (sold separately). Equipped with our proprietary TipLok Tent Buckle™ to simplify setup, the Tiger Wall UL Bikepack tent is your go-to shelter for single-track and double-track, overnight adventures.
Big Agnes's Tiger Wall UL2 Bikepacking Tent has seen improvements to make it more user friendly and more environmentally friendly. A key feature being rolled out across a number of Big Agnes tents is the use of solution dyed fabrics. This is a great move for a number of reasons, firstly the positive environmental impacts which see a significant reduction in both energy and water consumption during manufacture. Secondly, this process means the tents are much more resistant to colour fade from UV. On a practical level, the tent benefits from a slight change in the pole design which now has shorter sections for easier packing on the bike, more intuitive setup for quick and easy pitching making for a more usable feel.
The ever popular Tiger Wall pole set up remains, keeping the weight at a minimum while providing an excellent amount of internal and vestibule space. As with most Big Agnes tents there are loads of handy storage pockets inside as well as simple features to make setting up faster and easier. There are a number of other tweaks in the design to bring more welcome improvements such as changes to the pole set, reducing the section lengths, making it easier to pack onto your bike along with a more simplified, user friendly set up. This is a great bikepacking tent that provides excellent space for the low weight and this version is much nicer to use thanks to the well thought out changes.
