An easy-to-use, powerful headlamp that has all the essential features of much more expensive headlamps.
Black Diamond says:
Updated with 200 lumens of light and a modern waterproof housing, the Cosmo is sleek, super-bright and ready for any mountain adventure you can throw at it.
The Cosmo isn't Black Diamond's most expensive or brightest headlamp. However, at 200 lumens it provides an adequate beam while still being small, fairly inexpensive, and practical. With each new revision Black Diamond make, the Cosmo has become brighter and smaller. The unit is now squeezed into a nice rectangular case which makes for compact packing.
The Cosmo features a nice, big, solid button (ideal for those who dislike 'touch' controls). The lamp takes one click to turn on, and then the next click to turn on the small diffused light. Simple. Further clicks simply cycle through the two. By pressing and holding, the lights can be dimmed or brightened. You also don't need to worry about battery wastage as there's a handy lock mode to prevent it from turning on in your pack.
