Montane's Habu pack is a super tough daypack made from a very durable Raptor fabric that has a full DWR treatment and tear resistance.
Montane says: The Habu 22 is a women’s specific versatile pack. Light enough to be used on almost any mountain during the day and functional enough to provide lasting use in many mountain activities.
With its innovative ‘Dual Tool’ clean technical ice axe and walking pole system and large open zippered access, it is at home on a Scottish winter mountain ascent as it is on a summer ultra distance two day event.
Montane's Habu 22 Litre Backpack has definite climbing cues - the gear carrying arrangement at the front will take two axes for example, but aside from this functionality the Habu has a host of features useful for any activity that needs a daypack. Twin side stretch mesh pockets and pockets on the hipbelt are key features in this type of pack.
There`s no frame in the pack but the padding on the back is very thick and will protect the wearer from anything inside its also quite stiff so does provide some support for the load. The hipbelt is decent for a pack of just 22 Litres this will enable it to carry heavier loads consistent with its 22 Litre capacity, with ease.
Overall its quite a heavy pack for just 22 Litres but it's very tough and has a feature set that many will want.
