I have used this to re-glue and build up walking boot soles, it works. In the UK you will have a problem buying the US rubbing alcohol, Isopropyl alcohol to clean the surfaces. I purchased some through a chemist but a friend used meths and the bond on his boots was as good as mine. There is nothing else like this. It is viscous when extruded from the tube, but slowly flows to fill gaps and make a level surface. You must contain it if repairing soles, also you must add sand/grit to enhance grip
