The inner glove use Gore-Tex Infinium/Windstopper which makes for a very effective glove on its own. Very dexterous and grippy with touch screen compatibility. The inner is windproof and very water resistant but if you really need to keep dry then use the outer.
The outer is durable and fully waterproof. It is longer than the inner and the cuffs beyond the inner are fleece lined to add warmth. There are 2 areas of adjustment around the wrist and the end of the cuffs to make sure you get a close fit so warmth can't escape and the elements can't get in.
The outer has removable wrist loops so if you need to remove the gloves to perform a fiddly task you don't have to worry about losing them as they will stay attached to you. The outer is comfortable to use on their own but combined with the inner windstoper gloves you have a very warm and functional glove.
