The Expedition Pack Down Hoodie is, as you'd expect from Fjallraven, a top quality insulating piece for the cold winter months.
Fjällrävensays:
Expedition Pack Down Hoodie is a lightweight, flexible hooded down jacket for winter activities. Perfect as a reinforcement garment on top of or under a shell jacket, and easy to pack into a backpack – or its own pocket – when it isn’t being used. Padded with ethically produced down in stitched-through channels, with synthetic insulation over the shoulders for extra resistance against pressure and moisture. Part of Fjällräven’s Expedition Series with iconic designs, sustainably produced materials and high reliability in cold conditions.
Fjällräven's Expedition Pack Down Hoodie is a stylish technical piece, that is just as at home walking around town on a cold day, as it is up in the mountains in the middle of winter.
The adjustable hem and hood provide enough adjustment to keep the weather out when using it as an outlayer but the jacket is best suited to being used as midlayer. The elastic cuffs provide an adequate seal to stop the wind going up the arm but when outstretched when scrambling and climbing it led to an exposed area of skin between the cuff and gloves.
The one issue I have with this jacket is that the hood adjustment has no togs, you have to pull the cord and then tie the adjustment cord yourself, inside the jacket, something that is impossible while wearing gloves.
