A stylish trekking shirt, designed to keep you cool when you’re working hard
This Short-sleeved tee is an outdoors wardrobe essential. It’s made from a light, high-performance fabric that’s sourced from recycled material. It manages moisture effectively, dries fast, and has been given an odour control treatment made from coffee grounds, keeping you fresh for longer and reducing the need to wash the tee so frequently. Designed with offset seams for less bulk and less risk of chafing.
I’m a big fan of hiking in a dedicated trekking shirt, especially in the summer months, and I have to say the Haglofs Salo takes some beating. Firstly, it looks great, I tested the True Black version, and could happily have worn it out in the real world. It’s a very nice cut, I take a medium in Haglofs and found this fitted very well. The offset shoulder seams are a nice touch, preventing chafing especially when wearing a backpack.
This is the short sleeve version of the shirt, though a long sleeve is available. The collar can stand up on its own, protecting the back of the neck from the hot sun. The entire back of the upper shirt is lined with mesh, which helps heat and sweat transfer away from the body, it also has eyelets under the armpits to help with this issue too. Both chest pockets are secured with a pop button, but I think they missed a trick not also mesh lining them, but I’m nit-picking.
The full shirt has a DWR treatment, so it’s excellent at shedding water and dirt, including sweat. Its made from 93% recycled polyamide that has a slight stretch to it, and on a side note, I’m a fan of the buttons with the Haglof logo on them.
