The Vaskye Insulated Jacket from Berghaus has great warmth to weight ratio thanks to the innovative Hydroloft Polyball synthetic insulation with a wind proof Pertex Quantum outer. The synthetic insulation mimics down in the way it traps air to keep you warm but unlike down it retains its warmth even when wet. The Hydroloft insulation is also designed to be really breathable.
The wind proof outer has an environmentally friendly PFC free durable water repellent treatment to shake off showers. The 2 handwarmer pockets are fleece lined for comfort and have zips to keep your valuable safe. The hood is close fitting and can be adjusted further. A soft chin guard stops the zip chafing against your skin.
The Vaskye is light and packable so there is no reason not to have it in your bag in case the temperature drops. Blue sign approved fabrics are used to give these jacket eco creditentials.
