Ortlieb's Back-Roller Plus 40L has a very different look to the traditional Ortlieb panniers with the use of Cordura fabric. This looks great and also shaves off a decent amount of the weight compared to the Back-Roller Classic (also 40L). This is not without compromise with cost and durability suffering slightly. These panniers hold a significant amount of kit and if you are careful with your distribution (keeping it even) you can keep a smooth ride. The mounts are easy to use and fully adjustable.
The roll top lid makes access quick and easy. They come with an attachable shoulder strap and also have a couple of internal pockets, one smaller zipped mesh pocket to keep things organised. These have been really practical packs for commuting and the quality of the Ortlieb construction means that you never worry about the contents being exposed to poor weather.
