The Rongbuk Rucksack is a durable 28 Litre technical day pack with multiple compartments to keep your gear organised during weekend treks away.
Granite Gear says:
Renowned mountaineer George Mallory followed the Rongbuk Glacier in Tibet while looking for routes to Mount Everest in 1921. In 80 years, the Rongbuk has shrunk by more than 300 vertical feet across the entire glacier.
The Rongbuk 28 features a smaller outer pocket with just a strap and buckle over the top for those things you need to access quickly, and larger middle compartment with a zippered top to secure items, and a large main compartment for clothing or other bulkier gear. Inside the main compartment is a sleeve that can hold a hydration system, a tablet or small laptop. A fleece lined garage for your sunglasses or cell phone is at the top of the pack.
The Rongbuk 28L Rucksack is a versatile and technical day pack that's ideal for daily treks or weekends away. It even has dual axe loops on the front so can be taken on short winter mountaineering trips. It has plenty of compartments for separating and organising gear with plenty of compression straps to compress it all down.
It features a built in rain cover which can be easily thrown on when it starts to pour and an internal hydration sleeve which doubles as a laptop compartment. I particularly like the smaller top zippered pocket which has a soft lining for storing your phone, sunglasses or any other valuables. The back is padded for comfort, along with the hip belt which is removable for trips when minimal weight is important.
