||||This tent is one of Exped's BASECAMP tents - Higher, wider, more comfortable - tents designed for basecamp use. Large vestibules, roomy and comfortable canopies and stability are the main characteristics of these tents. They are homes away from ho,e for groups or a luxurious mansion for couples. Numerous mesh pockets in the canopy and vestibules keep things organised and in reach.|
The Venus III, but with a much larger vestibule! It's an incredibly spacious tent for two or three people, with plenty of storage space for gear, dogs or even bicycles. Yes it's a little on the heavy side but what do you expect from a tent this big? It's probably best suited to car camping but you could easily spread the load between others for more off road adventures.
The great thing about this tent is that the vestibule has a tub footprint which protects you and your gear from splashing rain, dirt and bugs. It has room for a camp table and three chairs, and the section near the door rolls up to avoid collecting rainfall while the door is open. The rainfly protrudes over the canopy and prevents rain from dripping in when the doors are opened.
As well as the large vestibule, the tent features three large doors, which is perfect if you don't like stepping on one another. The double layered canopy doors feature both mesh and fabric panels. Mesh to increase ventilation and ward off insects and fabric to prevent wind, dust and snow from entering the canopy.
