Exped's Gemini IV tent would make an ideal basecamp tent where the full-height enclosed vestibule has obvious benefits when sitting out bad weather or for storing large pieces of gear such as canoes or bikes.
Large canopy and huge vestibule. The vestibule arc pole creates space and standing height and allows for comfortable camping and a surprisingly low weight. Large enough for camping chairs and meals in comfort sheltered from the rain. Our new and unique pole structure generates high volume in the canopy. The steep walls on all sides allow for full use of floor space. Move around in comfort and enjoy the head room while dressing. Mesh pockets and gear loops store and organize gear.
||||This tent is one of Exped's BASECAMP tents - Higher, wider, more comfortable - tents designed for basecamp use. Large vestibules, roomy and comfortable canopies and stability are the main characteristics of these tents. They are homes away from ho,e for groups or a luxurious mansion for couples. Numerous mesh pockets in the canopy and vestibules keep things organised and in reach.|
Exped's Gemini 4 tent is an ideal lightweight base camp tent, although if split between its full capacity of four people that's only 1.3kg each and it could conceivably be used as a backpacking tent. However its main feature is of course the full height vestibule, which has obvious benefits for sitting out bad weather or storing gear such as expensive bikes.
