Designed for those who want to venture out all year round with a lightweight, backpacking tent, this model blends 2 iconic Terra Nova tents. The lightweight, low profile design of the Laser incorporates the same 30D flysheet and groundsheet fabric used in the Quasar, and with a few additional features to improve performance in wintry conditions we have the Laser Compact All Season.
Our Verdict
Terra Nova's Laser Compact All Seasons 1 Person Tent still uses the transverse hoop design which is a classic, much copied design, that Terra Nova used very early on and they've developed this type of tent further than many imitators. A simple, effective design with single entrance help keep weight down. The low profile of the tent, guy lines and low cut fly make it a great tent for battling the wind and rain.This All Seasons version uses a stronger, more durable fabric for the fly and ground sheet providing more protection against the elements.
The 'Compact' tents are pretty much exactly the same as the 'Competition' version but with shorter pole sections that allow the pack size to be much smaller. Ideal for the pack size conscious traveler, whether that's back- or bike-packing and this version is great for anyone venturing out in harsher conditions.

Features
- The flysheet and groundsheet both have taped seams and we've also used #5 zip as the Quasar for added durability.
- We've made it easier to vent the tent in poor conditions with the inclusion of a hood at the top of the flysheet zip and a zip which can be opened from either end. The All Season tent also includes vents at either end of the inner and flysheet, like the standard Laser Compact.
- For added weatherproof protection the zip flap has magnetic closures which are a fumble free way of locating and holding it in place. In case you need to double pole the tent when you're out, the pole sleeve has been widened to accommodate an extra pole (extra poles are available to buy separately) and there are extra eyelets in the pull out tapes to locate the extra pole feet. Lastly there are a couple of extra guylines at each end for a secure pitch.
- The Laser Compact All Season 1 is the same size as the Laser Compact 1 and also packs down to a compact pack size - only 30x15cm, making it just as easy to stash in a rucksack or pannier.
- Whether you are planning to wild camp or venture out all year round on backpacking or bikepacking trips and need a 1 person lightweight tent that is easy to carry, the Laser All Season Compact 1 is one of the best options.
