The Outer Space really lives up to its name, providing a huge amount of versatile space under the fly sheet. With as much space as the inner, the easily adaptable vestibule space is amazing for long trips, bad weather or just sociable events.

Exped says:

Outer Space II is a shape-shifting, multi-mode, take-anywhere tent for 2 people with enough vestibule space for a party. Multiple set-up and deployment modes allow Outer Space to adapt to changing conditions and personal preferences for optimal comfort.

A giant, pole-supported front vestibule easily shelters 3 people in camp chairs, a lightweight table and backpacks. Exostructure poles (poles on outside of fly) guarantee a rapid and dry set-up. The inner tent can remain attached to the fly when stowed, greatly shortening the teardown time in camp. The fly can easily be set up on its own, without the inner tent, or combined with a footprint for lightweight trips.  A rear, awning-style vestibule offers  additional covered space and access. Party Mode  is made possible by the exostructure pole configuration, allowing the inner tent to be temporarily disconnected and pushed aside. Invite the neighbors for a tea party, regardless of the weather! Multiple chairs fit comfortably under the steep-walled fly-only shelter.

Exped's Outer Space II Tent is all about the space. a good sized inner tent comes with two small vestibules that provide enough space for kit and one huge internal space that's big enough for sitting, cooking, relaxing and pretty much anything else you want to use it for. The fly sheet at the entrance on this side can be rolled up or configured to give you great views or shelter from the worst of the weather without shutting off the outside and this is a massive benefit of this tent.

With the external pole design you get a strong 3 season structure that pitches all-in-one. An ideal setup for places like the UK where wind and rain are common - without much warning. The tent takes a little time to get used to pitching and taking down in a quick and easy manner but once you've got the hang of it you'll be glad you picked it. Not the lightest tent out there but the space is genuinely impressive and certainly worth the weight penalty for many people.

This tent would be ideal for bikepackers and cycle tourers as you can easily store a bike in the large, covered space without it eating up all of your living space or for people using it in poorer weather where you might have to spend more time under the shelter.
