The Mountain Belt works well for longer runs or poorer weather. The large pocket is capable of holding all the food or layers you might need. The super comfortable design will most probably have you using this more often than you'd think and for more activities than you'd expect!
Ultimate Direction says:
The Mountain Belt carries a large capacity FlexForm Bottle to bring enough hydration to big adventures in a small, bounce-free format. A large storage pocket can accommodate equipment needed for mountain trips: a camera, a personal locating beacon, light rain gear and, of course, fuel and phone. Accepts the Ultimate Direction Adventure Pocket for additional storage.
Ultimate Direction's Mountain Belt 4.0 is designed to keep you out on the trails for longer. The design of the belt means that it is really comfortable to wear for extended periods through a combination of the super light and breathable MicroMono mesh that makes up strap and the new stretchier, softer, lighter and snag resistant mesh used for the pocket.
With the 600ml bottle included you have enough space for more fluids, food, shells or other accessories. There is a simple internal Velcro closure pocket for a smart phone while the main compartment has secure zip closure. A strangely small key fob pocket can be found on the front of the waist strap for a house or possibly very small car key. The addition of the bungee cord gives you extra options for stowing additional clothing if needed.
The belt is really versatile. Pair it with a race vest or another hydration system and you get ditch the flex bottle and use that space for additional layers or food. A lot of walkers have been using this belt in particular for day trips into the hills and it has also become a hit for dog walkers to carry their leads, treats and other bits in.
