The Sea to Summit Reactor Fleece Liner can be used to increase the warmth of your sleeping bag by a season rating or can be used as a summer sleeping bag.
Sea to Summit says:
The THERMOLITE® Reactor Fleece Liner with hood is the warmest of our Reactor Series and can be used to extend the warmth of your sleeping bag or double as a stand alone summer bag. The THERMOLITE® Fleece is incredibly warm for its weight, and we have given this fabric a brushed finish for extra comfort. The quarter zip makes it easier to get in and out of, and panelled hood can be drawn in when maximum warmth is required.
What can I say about this fleece liner? Well for starters it's incredibly soft! I really didn't want to get out of mine the first time I tried it. I took it on a weeks canoe / camping trip through Scotland in October when temperatures dropped to around -5. I can honestly say I was snug as a bug sleeping inside the liner and my sleeping bag.
I chose this one over the other reactor liners as it is the warmest and it is the only one that has a mummy shape which I prefer if it's going inside a mummy bag. It also has a hood with a drawcord closure which was great for keeping the heat in and my head warm. A lot of liners can be a pain to get in and out of but this one has a quarter length side zip so it was no problem at all. Plus the zip can be used to let cool air in if your feeling too warm.
As well as providing extra warmth, liners are also great for keeping your bag clean. It's much easier to wash a liner than it is a sleeping bag. And if your using it as a stand alone bag during the summer you will probably find it need's washing more often.
