Our Verdict
Big Agnes's Diamond Park 30 Down Sleeping Bag is built for comfort. The extra wide and long design is perfect for anyone after a larger sleeping bag. With a significant amount of down in it the bag is thick and warm resulting in a very comfortable bag. It is quite heavy but it is designed to be used for car camping or at basecamp when you don't have to carry it around so comfort is more of a priority than weight.
There are a number of really nice, practical features such as the 'Free Range Hood' which allows you to stay covered up even when lifting your head up, the Pillow Barn for keeping your pillow secure through the night and the sleeping mat sleeve which is stretchy enough to accommodate the larger mats. This sleeping bag can also be unzipped to create a large quilt for warmer conditions adding to the versatility. Although it's not the lightest bag it is designed to put comfort first and it certainly achieves that.
