The NeoAir Camper SV is a deluxe basecamp mattress with fast and easy inflation/deflation thanks to Thermarest's SpeedValve design.
We took our thick, ultra-supportive NeoAir Camper mattress and added our new SpeedValve design, we created the fastest way to feel at home in the outdoors. Using simple physics, our SV allows you to inflate your insulated mattress up to three times faster than traditional valves, with a fraction of the effort. Once inflated, reflective ThermaCapture technology and WaveCore construction combine hundreds of internal cells and efficient, radiant heat capture to deliver reliable, compact three-season comfort. When it’s time to break camp, the patent-pending, auto-reversing valve deflates the mattress almost instantly. Stuff sack and repair kit included.
Our Wave Technology slows convective heat loss, using a single layer of horizontal wave baffles. This basic structure doubles the warmth of an uninsulated air mattress without the bulk of conventional down or fiber insulations, creating a strong, fair-weather option in an insulated air mattress that still maintains essential three-season performance.
ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.
Very similar to the NeoAir Camper but with Thermarest's new SpeedValve system which allows you to inflate the mat in 2-3 times fewer breaths compared with a traditional valve mat. Blowing into the SpeedValve creates a pressure differential that draws in surrounding air to fill the mattress fast and with less effort. It also deflates super fast too.
It's rectangular shape combined with 7.6cm of cushion make the NeoAir Camper SV a fantastic choice for those that value comfort over weight savings. It's one of Thermarest's thickest mattresses and also one of the plushest and most durable inflatable pads available. It's design sits squarely between a lightweight inflatable pad well-suited to backpacking and an ultra-luxurious car camping pad.

From 2020, there is a new industry standard for measuring the R-value (level of insulation) of sleeping mats – ASTM F3340-18. This new standard is the sleeping mat equivalent to the EN rating for sleeping bags.
You can now directly compare the R-value of mats rated using the ASTM F3340-18 with confidence that is a fair and accurate comparison between mats. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the warmer the mat.
In general terms, an R-value below 2.0 is for summer use, 2.0 to 4.0 is for cooler 3 season use and 4.0+ is for winter temperatures. This will be also be dependent on your sleeping bag, how cold you sleep etc. Please contact our customer service team if you need advice on choosing the right mat for your activity.
