A lightweight insulated Jacket, utilizing Rab's Stratus Insulation, no need for quilting, so no cold spots. Versatile lightweight warmth and protection, ideal for Alpine belays.
Lightweight and breathable, the Xenon Jacket is a lightweight insulated jacket designed for fast and light mountaineering.
The Xenon Jacket is made with lightweight Atmos™ outer, and filled with 60g/m² Stratus™ recycled insulation. With no need for quilting, this versatile and lightweight technical jacket eliminates cold spots, making it perfect for keeping you warm and protected from the elements on alpine belays. An under helmet hood with stretch binding and elasticated cuffs help eliminate draughts, while zipped handwarmer pockets and a two-way opening front zip with insulated internal zip baffle provide extra warmth when belaying. Updated with a slimmer fit, the Xenon Jacket packs down into an internal zipped pocket which doubles as an integrated stuff sack. Lightweight, warm and water-resistant, the Xenon Jacket is a versatile jacket that you can take on every adventure.
Rab's Xenon Insulated Jacket is simple in its design and provides an immediate hit of no-nonsense warmth to you when you need it most. There's elastication around the wrists and rim of the hood that does an adequate job at keeping cold winds at bay. This minimalist approach is obviously to keep the weight down, however there's two drawcord adjusters around the hem of the jacket, we feel that one could have been swapped out for a bit of extra adjustment on the hood.
Rab have managed to get this version of the Xenon Jacket lighter than its predeccessors whilst providing the same levels of warmth as those older model jackets.
