Leki's Makalu Trekking Poles are designed to provide strength and confidence on any terrain. These poles have the Aergon handles which are shaped to be more comfortable in your hands. They also have the Speed Lock2 mechanism which allows you to extend and reduce the length of the poles quickly and easily depending on whether you are going up or down hills.
For the price you get a pole capable of performing on serious hills, soft muddy ground or casual walks out. These poles don't flex with the added weight that comes from a fully loaded pack or when they dig in to support you on soft muddy ground.
