Ultimate Direction's Race Belt 5.0 is perfect for short to medium distances where you feel you might need up to 500ml of fluid plus some fuel or maybe some extra protection in the form of a shell. The Race Belt has a great design which gives a really comfortable fit with micro mesh allowing sweat to wick and edges covered with soft material.
Storage wise the belt has one large stretchy mesh pocket which stores the 500ml soft flask or you can ditch that and easily fit a shell or hat/gloves etc in there. It has a small popper to keep it closed but this popper is weirdly strong and not easy to open or close while running but certainly takes away any fear of stuff dropping out! The is an internal zip pocket which can easily accommodate a big smart phone, a very small Velcro shut key fob pouch and two compression bungy bands that you can thread a jacket through for extra space.
