The Utility Belt is an innovative piece of kit that allows you to carry a surprising amount of kit around your waist. The low profile design uses stretchy, breathable mesh to create storage for a range of items.
Ultimate Direction says:
The running belt you’ve been waiting for in five different sizes for any body type. The Utility Belt is sleek but durable and light yet packed with storage. It carries a 500ml soft flask, trekking poles, any phone, a jacket, and other small valuables with no bounce. The Utility Belt is ideal for daily use or as an alternative to a vest or handheld in a race.
Ultimate Direction's Utility Belt is an innovative take on the waist belt. The stretch mesh design is really comfortable and the mesh itself is lightweight and highly breathable. It is a bit more difficult getting the belt on and off as you have to step into it with no opening or fastening but this does reduce the weight and bulk compared to other waist belts. It is ideally suited to carrying a phone in the rear and soft items such as a hat, gloves, super light shell, around the other pockets. It can hold a 500ml soft flask which is great if you're heading out for a couple of hours.
The belt has four main pockets on the inside, two large open pockets, one with a flap over and one with stitching to provide more security. There are also four small, external gear loops and two large, elasticated straps on the front with silicone prints providing grip for accessories such as running poles.
