The Berghaus Paclite 2.0 is a lightweight and extremely packable waterproof jacket, ideal for year-round activities where weight and space are critical.
GORE-TEX Paclite fabric technology offers lightweight, fully waterproof protection and allows the jacket to pack down really small so you can easily store it in your rucksack ready for when the weather turns. A fixed, fully adjustable hood offers additional weather protection.
The Berghaus' Paclite 2.0 Jacket is basically the cheaper version of the Paclite Storm Jacket. Yes they are both made using Gore-Tex Paclite waterproof technology so they are super packable and offer great protection all year round, but the Paclite 2.0 jacket as a whole is quite different.
To start with it looks very different; the Paclite storm has a checked ripstop effect on the fabric where as this Paclite 2.0 does not. With the fabric feeling thicker it also means that the 2.0 will be a little tougher, standing up to more abuse from rucksack straps etc. But on the other hand it probably won't be as breathable as the Paclite Storm because of this.
Feature wise, you still get two hand pocket's but without the water resistant YKK AquaGuard zip. The main front zip on the Paclite Storm has a storm flap where as the Paclite 2.0 does not. Both hoods feature drawcord adjustments on the front as well as the back but the Paclite Storm has the added stiff peak.
Overall the Paclite 2.0 is a great packable, waterproof jacket with simplified features at a lower price point.
