Our Verdict
The Abisko Trek 65 strikes a useful balance between structure, adjustability, and load control. The aluminium frame and padded back panel create a ventilated channel that maintains airflow without sacrificing support. The back length can be adjusted from 38 to 52 cm, allowing for precise fit tuning, and the hip belt does a good job of transferring weight off the shoulders.
Storage is practical and straightforward. Front panel access makes packing efficient, while the lid, side, and hip belt pockets give quick access to smaller items. The lid removes cleanly and works as a compact hip pack or shoulder bag.
Materials are robust and responsibly sourced, featuring 210D recycled polyamide throughout, a reinforced 500D base, and over 1,500 mm of PU coating. The fabric withstands abrasion well and handles light weather without issue. At 2530g (S/M), it's not ultralight, but the carry quality and organisation justify the weight.
