Our Verdict
The Jazz goes above and beyond an everyday traditional sleeping bag, making sleeping outdoors a much more enjoyable experience for you and your partner.
I would only use the Jazz Double around a campsite I had driven to. I want to avoid backpacking with it, but you will get a fantastic night's sleep in this lovely synthetic sleeping bag.
This isn't a low weight, cut every corner, count every gram set up, it is heavy, yes, but it's designed to be a sizeable comfortable sleep system that won't constrict you or your partner as you toss and turn. It's a wide rectangular shape that doesn't taper in at the feet, so you get a lot more room inside. The two side zips allow the bag to open fully, right down to the feet, so that you can ventilate heat quickly on warm mornings. If you are a cold sleeper and your partner is a warm sleeper, each side can be tailers, so one can have the bag open, and the other can cinch it down.
Inside is a removable and washable "bed sheet" to help you fine-tune the temperature; you can use the bed sheet as a light cover in warmer conditions.
The Jazz has two large "pillow pockets" to prevent pillows from sliding away at night. The pocket is so large you can bring your pillows from home.
