Our Verdict
The Jazz goes above and beyond an everyday traditional sleeping bag, making sleeping outdoors a much more enjoyable experience.
I would only use the Jazz around a campsite I had driven to, but you will get a fantastic night's sleep in this lovely synthetic sleeping bag. This isn't a low weight, cut every corner, count every gram set up, it is heavy, yes, but it's designed to be a sizeable comfortable sleep system that won't constrict you as you toss and turn. It's a wide rectangular shape that doesn't taper in at the feet, so you get a lot more room inside. The two side zips allow the bag to open fully, right down to the feet, so that you can ventilate heat quickly on warm mornings. Inside is a removable and washable "bed sheet" to help you fine-tune the temperature; you can use the bed sheet as a light cover in warmer conditions.
The Jazz has a large "pillow pocket" to stop your pillow from sliding away at night. The pocket is so large you can bring a pillow from home rather than a small inflatable pillow.
