Our Verdict
The Extremities Trail Grip Gloves combine waterproof protection with decent insulation, providing comfort in cold, windy conditions. At 140 g (Medium), they are light yet warm, using PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation for consistent performance even when damp. The X-Dry insert offers dependable waterproofing for rain and sleet, though breathability is modest when working hard uphill.
The silicone palm provides a solid grip on poles, and the inner fleece lining feels soft without compromising dexterity. The fit is tidy through the fingers and wrist, with a cuff that seals cleanly under jacket sleeves. For prolonged exposure to heavy snow or deep cold, a layered system would work better. Still, for cool-weather hikes, trail use or general mountain wear, these gloves offer a dependable balance of warmth and protection in a lightweight, well-made package.
