Our Verdict
The Rab Talus Tights Shorts are a solid option when you want the security of a close fit without compromising freedom of movement. They feel barely there at 140g (UK 12), but the Flexile fabric gives enough compression to feel stable and controlled, especially when climbing or descending quickly. The updated stretch recovery is noticeable—they hug well without bagging out over time.
The rollover waistband is wide and smooth, sitting flat without digging in, and I haven’t had any issues with slippage or discomfort. Storage is functional: a zip pocket at the rear for a key or card, and two mesh thigh pockets that easily fit a phone. The thigh grippers help keep everything in place, even during harder efforts.
