Our Verdict
The Big Agnes Accessory Tarp Poles offer a practical solution for pitching tarps, awnings or tent doors without relying on trekking poles. Each aluminium pole adjusts from 167cm to 203cm and collapses to 56cm, making them easy to carry and deploy quickly. At just under 1kg for the pair, they’re not ultralight, but they pack down small and work well in a range of applications and are incredibly durable.
The build quality is reliable, with DAC press-fit sections that feel secure under tension. The two tip options, rubber and pegged, provide flexibility across various ground conditions and tarp grommets. They pair especially well with Big Agnes shelters, but also slot neatly into a range of generic tarp configurations.
