The Roamer is an oversized self-inflating sleeping mat that focuses on comfort and convenience. Ideal for car and van camping where you still want a luxurious nights sleep.
Roamer™ is proof that camping doesn’t have to be roughing it. Whether you’re headed to the backyard or the campground, Roamer™ is every bit your bed at home except a whole lot easier to throw in the back of the car. Our innovative and proprietary internal air channels, called Flow Core™, drastically speed up inflation and deflation and reduce packed size well below the competition. It’s so good it can make a camper out of even the most diehard camping skeptics.
If you or your partner demand the comforts of home, our Roamer™ pad is the answer. And thanks to its patent-pending internal architecture, it packs surprisingly small, living plenty of room for other niceties. And when you get to camp, it self-inflates in a matter of seconds and the firmness can be fine-tuned with our Laylow™ micro-adjustable valve. The stretch fabric top conforms to the body, while the durable 75D fabric bottom is ready to withstand anywhere you’d like to call home for the night. And continuing NEMO’s dedication to sustainability, Roamer™ fabrics are made of bluesign® certified 100% post-consumer recycled materials.

Nemo's Roamer Self Inflating Double Sleeping Mat two person sleeping mat is extra thick, extra wide and extra long. Additional thickness means greater comfort, the extra width and length delivers the space to move around while sleeping. This mat is 10cm thick and uses a combination of innovative air chambers and open cell foam which also delivers the self-inflation.
The Roamer uses durable 75D fabric underneath which helps deliver a good nights sleep on any surface. The mat has a brushed fabric top that makes it much more comfortable then more other mats and both mats use 100% post-consumer recycled materials. It's certainly not a backpacking mat as the pack size is significant, along with the 3.6kg weight, but no problem if you have transport.

From 2020, there is a new industry standard for measuring the R-value (level of insulation) of sleeping mats – ASTM F3340-18. This new standard is the sleeping mat equivalent to the EN rating for sleeping bags.
You can now directly compare the R-value of mats rated using the ASTM F3340-18 with confidence that is a fair and accurate comparison between mats. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the warmer the mat.
In general terms, an R-value below 2.0 is for summer use, 2.0 to 4.0 is for cooler 3 season use and 4.0+ is for winter temperatures. This will be also be dependent on your sleeping bag, how cold you sleep etc. Please contact our customer service team if you need advice on choosing the right mat for your activity.
