Our Verdict
The latest version of Mammut’s Alvra Summer Shirt remains a solid pick for low-key days on trail or off. The hemp and lyocell blend (186g in size M) feels soft and natural against the skin, with enough airflow to stop things getting clammy when the sun’s out. It does a surprisingly good job managing moisture, better than many synthetic shirts I’ve worn—and the temperature regulation is one of its standout features. It’s not trying to be a technical layer, and that’s what I like about it: no fuss, no overthinking, just an easy shirt that works.
It’s not something I’d reach for in high-output or changeable weather, but it really shines on hot days when you’re moving steadily and want to stay comfortable. It's a relaxed shirt with just the right amount of performance woven in.
