Our Verdict
At 6410g (excluding pegs and bags), the Bunk House 4 is firmly in the car camping category, offering a generous 5.39 m² of floor space and a peak height of 183 cm. The layout accommodates two to three adults with room for a kit or cots, and the high walls create a genuinely liveable interior.
The standout feature is the oversized front vestibule, which adds real functionality in poor weather or when extra space is needed for storage or shade. With dual mesh doors and a mesh ceiling, airflow is strong, even in warmer weather, helping to manage condensation without compromising shelter. Both doors include dual-layer panels for adjustable privacy and protection.
The fly, floor, and body all use 75D polyester with a 1,500 mm hydrostatic head and taped seams. This, combined with the DAC aluminium poles and full-coverage fly, offers dependable weather resistance. Guylines and tensioning are essential in stronger winds due to the tall profile, but once secured, the structure remains stable.
