The chair has a comfy, supportive high back and the woven polyester material is well-ventilated in expectation of warm weather use. The poles are durable DAC aluminum and shock-corded construction allows them to pack down small. Comfort is enhanced by the deep seat, the wide cut of the seat, built-in arm rests, and integrated beverage holders!
Our Verdict
Helinox's Savanna Chair is ideal for relaxing in the garden or at basecamp. A strong, solid design with surprisingly lightweight materials make for an easily transported chair. Putting the chair together and taking it down is really easy with the shock cord frame and it's only the first few times the fabric needs a bit of extra force to fit onto the frame.
The high position is really comfortable and the seat is generous enough to keep you comfortable in a range of conditions. The two bottle holders are ideal for garden parties and relaxing at camp after a hard day. The head rest does feel a bit too far back at first but there is a large piece of material that is adjustable so you can fit a jacket or camping pillow in there to make it a much more comfortable head rest.
