As you can probably tell from their name, these are basically the full-length, shin-covering brothers of our much-loved Chilli Lite Shorts—with the same relaxed shape and big pockets… just in trouser form. Built to last, they’re constructed from hearty 6oz canvas cotton with reinforced seams in all the key areas. Oh yeah, and thanks to that all-important crotch gusset you’ll be high-kickin’ with the best of ‘em.
Our Verdict
At 547g (Medium), the 100 per cent cotton canvas has a sturdy handle, and the gusset helps with mobility when bending or stepping up. The half-elastic waistband and integrated belt provide a secure fit, even though I generally prefer my own belt. The pocket layout is well judged, with strong patch pockets and a functional wallet pocket. As they are cotton, they are better suited to casual wear than technical outdoor use, with slower drying and limited moisture control if conditions turn damp. Stitching and seams feel reassuringly solid, making them a dependable option for everyday tasks, travel or short walks where comfort, durability and simple functionality matter more than technical performance.
