These Crocodile Gaiters from Outdoor Research are simply done right. Using heavy duty materials all around the ankle and up the inside of the leg, with a slightly more breathable fabric on the back of the calf. Absolutely bombproof set of Gore-Tex gaiters.

Our Verdict
Outdoor Research's Expedition Crocodile Gaiters are some of the burliest gaiters I've come across. If you know the weather is going to be rancid, or you're going to be pushing through some nasty thickets and brush then get these on and your legs will thank you. SUper strong velcro keeps everything together, whilst a metal boot hook keeps you sealed in close to the laces.
A thick, plastic coated buckle runs under your boot for a solid attachment, ensuring your gaiters won't come off when your slogging through some horrible stuff. These gaiters aren't cheap but they do use premium waterproofing in Gore-Tex and they will definitely last you longer than most other bits of kit.
If you want a gaiter that'll last a lifetime, this will probably be your best bet.
