Our Verdict
These newly updated Roclite Pros have built on what was already a fantastic hiking shoe; they have improved the durability of the overall shoe, and the new midsole has enhanced comfort. The shoes are incredibly comfortable Strait out-of-the-box. The graphene sole is very well laid out and grippy, which gave me confidence in various conditions, including wet rock and grassy slopes; with the tread not being massively deep, it may need help in the worst muddy conditions.
The new honeycomb durable nylon ripstop upper material is hardwearing and provides excellent protection. The Gore Waterproof Lining also does its job wonderfully. Overall, this is a very capable boot that offers many advantages. A fast and light hiking shoe with the support of a hiking boot and the cushion of a trail runner.

- New upper material has undergone laboratory testing, with results proving it more than doubles the industry standard for durability. The material features a tighter weave that lets in less grit and better protects the GORE-TEX membrane underneath. Tougher yet still flexible.
- Updated Lycra padded cuff enhances comfort around the ankle, especially under the weight of a backpack.
- New lacing system delivers a more stable foothold, with the addition of speed hooks at the top making for a more fluid lace movement. This is coupled with a new tongue construction that provides hikers with all shapes of feet greater ability to adjust the fit to their needs.

- Renowned for their versatility, the 6mm deep ROCLITE lugs bite and hold across all types of terrain, no matter how hard or soft. They’ve also been carefully positioned to prevent debris from sticking to the outsole.
- GORE-TEX protection is waterproof and breathable, keeping feet dry and comfortable. Protection has been increased with the addition of a sturdier toe bumper at the front of the boot. A flexible rockplate, called METAPLATE, gives more underfoot protection, without fully compromising on ground feel.
- As feet begin to swell on longer adventures, you can gain extra comfort thanks to the ADAPTERWEB upper design which sees the flexible materials adapt to your changing foot shape and natural movements.
- Stack heights (midsole only) of 16mm in the heel and 8mm in the forefoot, combined with an 8mm drop, help deliver a responsive ride, with comfort and energy return added by the POWERFLOW foam midsole.
