Ortlieb's Duffle Bag is a comfortable, heavy duty, water proof bag which is perfect for trekking, travel and expedition use.
Ortlieb says:
The Duffle is for adventurers searching the extreme and expecting excellent performance. The waterproof travel bag protects clothing etc. from water and dirt, and can quickly be converted into a backpack by using the padded handles as shoulder straps.
A long TIZIP zip allows quick access to your gear. Internal straps compress the volume. The tough PS620C base fabric makes it an extremely durable expedition bag.
The bag can be secured with a padlock (not included) through a wire loop at the zipper.
Our Verdict
Ortlieb's Duffle Bag is a waterproof, heavy duty expedition and travel bag. It is made from tear-resistant PD620 and abrasion resistant PS620C fabrics so is ideal for using at airports terminals and rugged outdoor terrain. Its Waterproof zipper has a large opening which means packing and unpacking couldn't be easier. On the inside of the bag there is 2 large side pockets with zip closures for separating socks, underwear etc. The bag has an internal compression strap to secure the contents and can be used to help adjust the volume.
The Duffle Bag is easy to transport as it has a removable padded straps which can be worn as a rucksack, a shoulder bag or put together for a large carry handle. On the outside of the bag there is a mesh zipped pocket which is not waterproof but good for storing knick knacks. You can even attach more equipment using its 2 strong daisy chains on either side of the bag. To secure the bag after packing you simply pull the large zip until closed and attach the black hooks at both ends. The bag does not come with a lock however it can be locked by inserting a padlock through the wire loop provided at the end of the zipper.
With the Duffle Bag coming in a variety of different colours and sizes there is plenty to choose from!
