Our Verdict
Fjällräven's Ulvo 30 Litre Rucksack is a simple yet durable zippered day pack, with the emphasis on grab-and-go functionality. It's constructed from Fjallraven's Bergshell fabric meaning it is a waterproof and extremely durable material, made from 31% recycled nylon, using a newly-developed flat ripstop technique which is less likely to catch.
For maximum comfort, the back and shoulder straps have been fitted with mesh, so they provide plenty of ventilation. There's not a boat load of features but what it does have works well. We like that the main compartment can be opened wide at the top for easy access inside to the padded laptop sleeve, small zippered security pocket and pen holder slots. All great features for a commuting and traveling pack. We also like that there's two stretchy side pockets so you have one for a drinks bottle and one free for anything else you might want to grab quickly along with a decent sized lid pocket.
The use of Bergshell fabric allows you to haul these packs around in all kinds of conditions, making the Ulvo pack your hardwearing and functional everyday companion.
