The Vario combines individual efficiency with the simplest possible handling. The technology it uses consists of three filter levels: a high-performance glass fiber filter, a ceramic pre-filter that can be adjusted individually according to the cloudiness of the water, and active charcoal for eliminating odors. Anyone who needs up to two liters of drinking water per minute can use the glass fiber and active charcoal filter. If the water is extremely cloudy, the ceramic pre-filter can be fitted in a moment in order to extend the service life of the glass fiber filter. The Vario is compatible with most standard outdoor bottles and hydration bladders

Water Filters can provide you with clean water in the most remote conditions. The Vario Micro filter is part of Katadyns back country range and is adjustable for different water conditions. It is lightweight and compact which makes it perfect for camping, back packing and trekking.
This three-stage ceramic disc and glass-fibre microfilter has an adjustable output for different conditions. A simple turn engages the cleanable ceramic prefilter, for use with dirty water for a longer cartridge life. The high-surface area 0.3 micron glass-fibre filter removes bacteria and cysts and the replaceable carbon core improves taste and reduces pesticides and chemicals in the water. The Vario can filter up to 2L per minutes in fast-flow mode and up to 1L per minute in long-life mode.
It is easy to use as it has a dual action pump that provides continuous output with minimum effort and has an adaptable base which can attaches directly to water bottles. An out put hose can also be used to fill hydration systems or large containers.
