Our Verdict
The Alpaca Gear Box 45 pairs rigid construction with a gasket-sealed lid that keeps water and dust out. The FlipFlop hinge opens from either side or lifts off entirely, which helps in packed vehicles or tight spaces. The clear lid makes it easy to locate gear without rummaging, and the entire unit stacks neatly. At 2742g, it is not lightweight, but for keeping kit protected and organised in damp or dusty conditions, it works well and feels built to last.
