The Halland 2 LW is a lightweight yet spacious two man tent that doesn't skimp on comfort or features. The simple two-pole construction makes it quick and easy to pitch and pack down. The Halland 2 LW pitches outer first, so it can be used as a stand-alone. The design allows for good sitting height and there is plenty of room for storage, cooking and living with several possibilties to customize ventilation. The tunnel-shaped construction provides great wind stability, making it a great shelter in bad weather while still giving you a great view through the large front opening.
Our Verdict
Spacious, stable and thoughtfully designed, the Halland 2 LW (2.0) offers excellent comfort for two while staying impressively light for longer trips.
At 1,322g (Medium), it’s light enough for weight-conscious backpackers who still want room to sit, store gear, or cook in poor weather. The updated version keeps the familiar tunnel design but refines it with stronger guy points, sleeker pole channels, and slightly improved ventilation. The two-pole setup is straightforward, and pitching outer-first is ideal when the weather turns just as you reach camp.
The inner tent is roomy for two and well-suited to extended use, with good headroom and multiple internal pockets. The porch is big enough to shelter your packs or cook in poor weather. Materials feel ultralight but confidence-inspiring, with a 2,000 mm fly and an 8,000 mm groundsheet that’s withstood rougher ground surprisingly well.
