Our Verdict
At 758 g (Medium), the Hi-Loft Nano Puff Hoody is a heavier, warmer take on Patagonia’s long-running Nano Puff. The thicker PrimaLoft Silver Eco insulation delivers reliable warmth when temperatures drop, and its ability to retain heat when wet makes it practical for mixed winter weather. The fit is relaxed, allowing easy layering over midweight pieces without restricting movement.
The shell fabric feels tough, with reinforced quilting and a denser stitch pattern that resists abrasion from pack straps. Comfort is high, helped by the soft lining and brushed pocket interiors. Breathability is modest, as expected from a warmer synthetic, but the front zip vents effectively dissipate heat during steady exertion.
