Our Verdict
The Hubba Hubba HD 1P takes the familiar Hubba layout and refines it for tougher three-season use. At 1186g excluding pegs and bags, it’s a competitive weight for a shelter designed for rougher three-season use.
The 1.81 sq m rectangular floor avoids tapering, making it easier to pair with wide mats. The peak height of 99cm provides enough headroom to sit up comfortably, and the mostly solid inner fabric noticeably reduces draughts compared to more mesh-heavy designs. Ventilation is managed through limited micromesh panels and a kickstand vent in the fly.
The 3000mm fly and 6000mm floor give clear reassurance in prolonged rain. Storage is well considered, with multiple interior pockets and a large overhead loft, while the single vestibule offers practical covered space for boots and a pack. Overall, it feels purpose-built for unsettled UK conditions without compromising liveability.
