This hip pack was made from 100% deadstock fabric scraps, which helps keep good material out of the landfill.
Deadstock is leftover high-quality fabric that hasn’t been used by the original manufacturer or retailer. Using deadstock reduces textile waste and is better for the planet. On average, a product made with deadstock has an estimated 30% smaller carbon footprint than a product made with new fabric.

Our Verdict
At 105g, the Kapai is ideal for short walks, travel, or days when pockets alone aren’t enough. The main compartment easily accommodates a phone, wallet, and keys, while a small front pocket provides a separate space for smaller items. The strap adjusts well and stays in place without slipping. There’s no padding on the back or belt, but the pack’s small size means comfort isn’t compromised, even when worn for hours.
The fabric is durable, and the YKK zips feel secure. It holds up well against light showers, but anything heavier calls for added protection. TThough the primary colour is black, the accent details can vary, making each pack unique and helping to keep off-cut materials out of landfill.
