The King Solomon offers comfort-first sleep for two without compromise on warmth or weight.
Big Agnes says:
Our King Solomon is part of our Doublewide Series, eliminating the need to zip two bags together so there’s nothing keeping you apart from your cuddle bug at camp. Lightweight and packable 650 Downtek™ PFC-Free water-repellent down insulation creates a sleeping bag for two at less weight and bulk than packing two separate bags. Our tried and true Pad Cinch System makes connecting two pads or securing a doublewide pad easier and faster than ever. Now with a full zip off option, you can use the top quilted layer like a comforter or zip together to create a single bag when camping solo.
Whether you need room for two, or just prefer sleeping in lightweight, packable doublewide luxury, the King Solomon 20° is the most versatile sleep system out there.
Our Verdict
The Big Agnes King Solomon 20F delivers exactly what a double bag should: generous space, reliable warmth and smart packability. The updated Cinch Pad Sleeve system neatly secures one double mat or two singles without fuss. The full-zip top section transforms it into a shared comforter or solo quilt, which works well for mixed setups or fluctuating temperatures.
The down insulation (650 fill) holds up well in cooler conditions, though; I'm not sure I'd push it to its -7°C rating. The wide cut through the shoulders and the dual entry points give it a relaxed, bed-like feel, while details like the oversized draft collar and interior hand pockets make it easy to settle in for the night.
Recycled fabrics, low-profile zip toggles and smooth construction reinforce the bag’s practical, environmentally conscious appeal. For couples looking to streamline their sleep system without sacrificing warmth or comfort, it’s a standout choice.
