Our Verdict
This is such a nice, next-to-skin base layer that doesn’t irritate you no matter how hard you exert yourself. The merino-polyester blend is soft, supple and durable, with a rapid wicking technology that moves moisture off the skin to keep you dry and comfortable. The polyester helps the t-shirt keep its shape which is often a complaint we hear with 100% merino wool items.
I prefer a long sleeve base layer, as I seem to get more use out of them; rolling sleeves up can help regulate heat, but it’s always good to not only have a little more insulation when needed but, importantly, protection from the sun can be vital
The fabric has a little give and stretch to it, so it’s a good choice for a range of activities, but it’s a stylish enough piece to be worn away from the hills in your day-to-day life so that you will get a lot of use out of this tee.
