Vidda Pro Jacket has been designed in the same spirit as Vidda/Barents Pro trousers, and with its robust features and durable G-1000 Eco it is perfect for trekking, bushcraft and other demanding outdoor activities, all year round. It has a generous, adjustable hood and no less than eight practical pockets. Smart gear loops in the front pockets let you attach a knife, gloves or other equipment close at hand.
Our Verdict
Fjällräven's Vidda Pro Jacket sacrifices weight for durability, strength and protection. Made with G-1000 material it lacks the stretch of the Keb range but this is more than made up for in the level of protection it provides and how hard wearing it is.It is extremely well made and with solid press studs on the front and cuffs then adjustable hem and stiffened hood it is ready for anything. Add coatings of the Greenland Wax and you can seriously increase the weather proofing of this jacket too.
With a multitude of pockets - four large drop pocket with button down flaps and four zip pockets under them - there is plenty of space to store anything you might need to have to hand. In honesty, I feel there are too many pockets and I'd never use them all but others might if not taking a pack out for a trip. The Vidda Pro fits quite large like many of the other Fjällräven jackets so that is worth baring in mind depending on what you want from it.
