This versatile, lightweight jacket uses environmentally friendly, recycled materials and functional synthetic insulation.
Fjällräven says:
On cold, active days in the mountains you sometimes need slightly more warmth than a shell jacket can offer. Enter Expedition X-Lätt Jacket; designed to be exactly the super-light insulation layer that will keep you warm when your own steam is not quite enough. Made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, it is the lightest jacket in our Expedition series and a great choice for many types of outdoor pursuits, all year round.
Our Verdict
This is a mid-piece, not quite an oversized puffy jacket, but not an insulated shell; I find this perfect to wear around the camp before I set off hiking or stop to take a break and don’t want to cool down and lose too much and lose body heat. It’s a versatile piece that can be worn just with a base layer or incorporated into a complete winter layering system; this means it can get year-round use, and when the jacket is not in use, it packs into its internal pocket.
