The outer fabric has a nice matt finish, but also offers a good level of durability for when you are in the mountains. Using the Pertex® Quantum Air lining the jacket also becomes very breathable which prevent you from overheating while on the move, but also prevents the build of moisture that becomes freezing the moment you stop.
The Ajungilak® OTI stretch insulation is made from a combination of recycled Polyester and Sorona which is made from renewable plant materials, provide both an excellent level of warmth and also are helping to make this more of a eco-friendly product.
The overall fit is technical with a great range of movement that makes it ideal for winter climbing or scrambling as well as just being a nice fitting jacket. There is still a good amount of room to fit layers underneath so it can be used as both a outer-layer or in combination with a shell to make it a mid-layer. The pockets are a decent size and you will get all your essentials in there. The hood is helmet compatible with an interesting elasticated mesh section in the peak that helps hold the hood on to a helmet really well.
